Will my red night heat bulb keep my Sudan plated lizard awake?

Its one of those night bulbs that provide heat but also let you see the animal at night. I'm afraid it will keep my lizard awake at night, because I think he can see the light. Can reptiles see the red spectrum or what's the deal?
