Why was Chargers linebacker Steve Foley shot 3 times last week for suspected drunk driving?

He was shot for failing to obey the repeated orders of a police officer and acting in a threatening manner towards the officer.... If you don't want to be shot it's probably a good idea to do as you are told when a cop draws his weapon on you. But I guess when you are jacked up on alcohol and 'roids it kind of clouds your judgment.
