What is the opinion of the genral public on potential adoptive parents paying medical expenses?

I guess I have an issue with people paying for babies. I think its sleazy. In theory though, I do not have a problem with a woman who does not want her baby having someone who does pay for the expenses of having a child... its just that it gets to be a kind of slippery slope where its hard to tell the difference. I also feel that if a woman accepts money under the pretense of giving up her child she should repay that money if she changes her mind. In an ideal world no money would change hands in the first place of course, but allowing mothers to keep the money because you think people who are willing to pay expenses to adopt are evil just allows for fraud. For me its like prostitution. If I give you 1000$ to sleep with me, you can change your mind any time up until we actually sleep together, as long as I get my money back. I don't have the right to insist, and you don't have the right to take my money. My offering you the money isn't actually any more low down then you accepting it and the terms to taking it.
