Testicle discomfort on left side. What could be wrong?

For several days now i have had discomfort on the left side of my . It isn't painful, but feels like a bulged vein or pulled muscle. Above the left testicle it is sore to squeeze the veins. They seem kind of lumpy feeling and larger on the left than on the right. I went on some ride at the fair and had minor constipation from their food a couple days before this, but I haven't done anything that physical that would have pulled a muscle. I'm not sure what to do if this doesn't get better. The doctor is too expensive and their suggestions for treatment tend to be even more expensive yet. Any ideas of what the problem might be and what I should do to treat it without seeing a doctor?
