How do I know what size water softener I need? Are they easy to install?

you dont. call a water softener shop. they will check your water and recommend a size you need. i suggest renting one. they will install and bring salt every month and take care of any repairs. if you do not like it you can quit anytime. i rentrd one for 20 yrs. never sorry.
