You have a tough task ahead of you because I just don't see adultery holding the same kind of shame now that it did back then. I think you are exaggerating using terms like "forsaken act" and "a dark shadow is cast upon those who commit this unlawful act". Today, adultery is talk show fodder. Shows like Dr. Phil and Jerry Springer thrive on it. With the internet, how many people who are supposedly faithful to their spouse are spending their nights in the basement in front of the keyboard "cybering"? Is cybering adultery? Obviously, you are taking a very hard right wing stance on the subject of adultery, but the problem is can you sustain it for ten pages and prove your thesis? What, in fact, IS your thesis? I am not sure exactly from your opening paragraph what you are trying to prove or disprove. Pax-C
