Egyptians? Do you......?

My friend went to egypt few days ago. He claimed that most egyptian have trouble speaking english...Is this true? Besides he also said that the internet there is extremely slow. Can i know what is the basic broadband speed in Egypt? But 1 thing that he like most is the scenery. The pyramids and the desert was remarkable. I wish to travel to egypt someday. Perhaps Alexandria would be my no. 1 choice
